Happy Thursday, fiber artists!
Today, we welcome December’s arrival, and we are reminded that the holidays are creeping closer by the minute. We are ready to embrace the festivity of the season by baking lots of cookies, watching Elf on repeat, and we’re excited to create handmade surprises for our loved ones.
To get you inspired and ready to create, we’ve compiled a list of our top holiday fiber art patterns. We encourage you to get a group of your fiber friends together for a creative and productive holiday party. Don’t forget to include #YarnFest17 in your captions!
This darling knitted dog is the perfect present for the little ones in your life. You can even customize this cutie to resemble a special family pet! Put a twist on the darling felted collar by adding a personalized name tag. We can’t think of a better stocking stuffer for an animal lover!
|Boundweave Rug Weaving Pattern
Weave up decorative rugs to adorn the homes of your loved ones. Add a cheery twist by playing with your color selection. Choose red and white to mimic a peppermint’s stripe, or red and green with hints of gold for a classic holiday look.
Create a darling stocking that’s perfect for stuffing. The top of this stocking features images of the dala horse, iconic to Scandinavian folk art. Fill your creation with goodies, or simply hang it above your mantle for a pop of holiday cheer.
|Holiday Lights Garland Crochet Pattern
Deck your halls with this simple and fun holiday garland. Use metallic yarn to make your lights extra bright and shiny! Make a few singular bulbs to grace the top of a pretty present, or hang a few from the branches of your tree.
Make an impact this holiday season. Give your loved one a handcrafted gift made with love. Or, if you have a few fiber artists in the family, give them a pattern and all of the beautiful materials they need to create their project. If you are still searching for great gift ideas, a trip to Interweave Yarn Fest is always at the top of our list. Treat that special someone to an educational and fun experience they will never forget. Check out our lengthy list of Workshops for inspiration! There are plenty of beginner options available for the new fiber artist.
As always, we would like to thank you for spending time with us today. We hope this post has ignited your creativity, and we will see you again next week for another dose of fiber art fun.
